Bucks pay a visit to Warriors in Oakland

Basketball Betting Lines

12/10/2008 - (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Milwaukee Bucks hope to conclude a three-game West Coast road trip on a positive note Wednesday when they arrive in Oakland to take on the banged-up Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors snapped an ugly nine-game skid in the finale of a three-game road swing in Oklahoma City on Monday when Jamal Crawford scored 19 points and Andris Biedrins grabbed 21 rebounds and scored 17 points as Golden State earned a 112-102 victory over the hapless Thunder.

Brandan Wright and Anthony Morrow each netted 15 points while Kelenna Azubuike contributed 14 for the Warriors, who managed to avoid their first 10-game slide since March 9-24, 2002.

Golden State, which is 3-5 in Oakland this season, will conclude a brief two- game homestand against Houston on Friday.

Warriors forwards Stephen Jackson (sprained left hand), Corey Maggette (sore hamstrings) and Anthony Randolph (sprained left hand) are all listed as doubtful for tonight's contest, while Wright is questionable with flu-like symptoms. Crawford, who is struggling with a sprained left ankle, is listed as probable.

The Bucks, meanwhile, fell to 0-2 on their trek when the Suns' Shaquille O'Neal continued his resurgent season with a season-high 35-point, eight- rebound effort, and Phoenix continued its dominance over Milwaukee with a 125-110 victory.

Milwaukee also lost to the LA Lakers on December 7.

O'Neal, who hasn't averaged over 20 points a game since the 2005-06 season with Miami, shot 14-of-19 from the field in the Suns' 21st straight home win over the Bucks.

Charlie Villanueva scored a team-high 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Milwaukee, which has lost four of six. Michael Redd added 23 points, while Richard Jefferson posted 22 points in the loss. Andrew Bogut had 15 points and 11 rebounds for Milwaukee, which hasn't won in Phoenix since 1987.

The Bucks, who are just 4-10 away from the Bradley Center this season, have lost two straight to the Warriors after winning the previous three meetings.

MySportsbook.com week 1 NFL lines

Now that the 2008 NFL schedule is finally out, it is only matter-of-course for lines on “Week 1” to follow.  Of course MySportsbook.com is the first to churn out odds for the NFL’s inaugural week for the upcoming season.   Expect a lot of fireworks the first Thursday night of the season as the defending champion Indianapolis Colts face off against the surprise of the 2008 season, the New Orleans Saints.  These teams were ranked #1 and #3 in the NFL respectively a season ago so a high scoring affair could be in order.  As of now, the Colts will be giving 6 points to the Saints; keep in mind the Saints were one of the better road teams last season going 6-3 SU and 7-2 ATS.  The first Monday night of the season will again provide a “double feature”. Coming off a disappointing season, the Cincinnati Bengals will look to get back to playoffs and improve their public image as they take on the AFC North favorite Baltimore Ravens.  The second game features a couple of teams that haven’t had too much success recently but each could make some noise if the NFC is as weak as it was last year as the San Francisco 49ers host the Arizona Cardinals. The most interesting game of the opening week will feature the NFC champion Bears as they hit the road to take on the NFL’s top team during last year’s regular season, the San Diego Chargers.
